FIT Me Foundation from Maybelline

I have been dying to try Maybeline's FIT me foundation for months now after seeing it advertised in every edition of Teen Vogue for the last year and I finally managed to get my hands on it. I had to swatch my colour for a while but finally worked out that I was 130 BUFF BEIGE which I believe it is the 5th from the lightest shade. One thing I love about this foundation is that like a Mac/Nars foundation it comes in a wide range of shades with undertone colouring in mind so it can accommodate to both those with pink and yellow colouration. I would be very surprised if you were to try this foundation and not get a good colour match since the shading range is so diverse however always swatch before you buy as the colour in the bottle looks a lot darker than the actual product. Before first use I had a read online to see what others had thought, and I was shocked to see mostly negative reviews! Had I just wasted my £7.99? Well being me, I am never one to make a judgement based on what others think so I tried it out and it didn't let me down.

Delivery Unwrapping; Motel Robyn Gothic Placement.

First and fore most; my apologies for my blogging absence. I have been trying to get on top of my college work for the first week or two of being back but now that plan has been knocked off track with me falling victim to the ever illusive first week back virus. The only good thing about this was today when I was at home to receive a package from ASOS, woo. I love deliveries so much and had been waiting with baited breath for this baby. So I thought this combo of a delivery and me being ill would be perfect for my first 'Delivery Unwrapping' post... so here goes.

So as some of you may know next month is a pretty big month for me, along with ucas applications and  open days at london universities it will also be my 18th Birthday! Yes you read right, I will be officially legal to do everything from buying alcohol to kitchen knifes to voting in the general elections (the politics student side of me is far too excited for this, not going to lie). Unfortunately for the first time in my 17 years of life, my Birthday falls during term time rather than the usual October half term holidays which means making plans were rather more difficult than I first planned but now I have sorted it all out. On Thursday the 25th my actual Birthday I will be going to college, attending parents evening and then go for a lovely meal with my family. Then on the Saturday I will be out and about in Leeds making the most of my own ID and enjoying the halloween activities that will be on offer that weekend. But I'm possibly most excited for the Friday night. I have rented out a local venue and I'm having a party with all my loved ones and of course this required a new dress!

Festival fashion Look-book

I promised I would do this post but I never really got around to it, but as I was packing my leeds festival bag today I was swamped with more asks on tumblr begging me for this post so here it is. * This is not by any means me bragging about my clothes, or me telling you what you should wear * Enjoy my selection of festival styles that I think look super cute. And remember festivals are a great time to experiment with fashion, so maybe take a leap of faith and try out a look you wouldn't normally.

Boho Beauty.
crochet top | acid wash shorts | stud bracelet | dream catcher earrings - topshop | faux snake purse | braided belt - primark |riding boot wellies - hunters

This outfit is inspired by the easy living style of festivals, think Nicole Richie at Ccoachella. Gold jewelry and feathers really help give this look a little something more exciting than especially in white! The butterfly sleeves also really add to the hippie look. Dream catcher earrings give the outfit a native american vibe while adding a little umph to a casual chic. Think free love and peace head to toe. Top off the look by matching your outfit with beachy waves to get that boho chic look down to a T.

Beauty routine breakdown; step-by-step

This week I've been asked numerous times on my tumblr to do a make-up routine post on here so here we go. Below is a step-by-step break down of all the products I use, how I used them and why compared to other products I've used these. This is my daily summer look and is different/less to what I wear for say a night out or different in the products to what I'd use in the winter when I want a fuller coverage. This is very much a drugstore make-up routine because in the summer when make-up sweats off so easily I don't see the point in wasting my money on expensive products and also I personally believe that most drug store make-up is just as good as it's expensive counter parts so why pay more? I personally am pretty set in my ways when it comes to make-up so regardless if you believe I should wear less or change sometime about my routine it will not effect the way in which I apply it so please keep unnecessary comments to yourself. Please excuse my make-up free face, I assure you you won't have to look at it for long or again for that matter and enjoy reading.

Virgins and veterans; a Leeds' Festival check list

Due to the nature of my residence, I am of the lucky people who reside in the village that hosts the amazing festival that is Leeds' Festival. And because of this I have been to the festival every single year since 2009, however my mum was not silly enough to let me camp then but I have camped for the last two years, making this my third. For anybody wondering my favorite place to camp is yellow campsite, I always feel it's the safest and it is known to be the nicest plus we have the best campsite DJ going, most who are fellow Leeds' residents so what's not to love. Because I live so close to the festival I know exactly what's happening right now in terms of the festival coming together so for your update (which is sure to make you very excited) right now I know that the tents/stages are in process of being put up, the campsites and marked, fenced and flagposted and all the road signs are taking over the idellyic country side and main stage is in the first stages of being built! I personally have ready started collecting my much needed items for the festival but I know for all you Leeds virgins that this process can be a little daunting. You may be stressing on what you need so that's exactly what this post is all about, well that and what you don't need and what I seriously suggest you consider taking with you as well.

*Although this list is customised to Leeds' festival, it is similar to any other festival although you should check with your festival on limitations on certain items like gazebos and BBQ's.*

Mind the gap

The changing face of fashion and the ideal of what is 'beautiful' has once again changed, as expected but for the last two seasons it has been the unusual imperfection which both designers and models have been selling as perfection; the gap toothed pout.

Two of a kind; Olsen appreciation

The 14 of June is a special day, why you ask? because it was the day this earth was blessed with the incredible Olsen twins; Mary-Kate and Ashley. This year they are celebrating their 26th Birthday which makes it exactly 26 years they have been inspiring the people of the world. I adore these two girls. Everything about them from their I couldn't care less, I'll wear what I want fashion to their old movies (When in Rome was always my favourite) to their outlook on life which I learnt through reading their bio; Influence a million times. They have been such a massive influence on my personal style as well as high(street) fashion.
